Professional Statement:
Alonzo D. Washington's practice involves a broad range of litigation matters, with special emphasis on product liability warranty, commercial litigation, medical malpractice, subrogation and other complex litigation matters. He is also experienced in handling claims involving automotive warranty litigation, surety, construction law and maritime law. Mr. Washington's clients include regional, national and global manufacturers, including members of the Fortune 50. He regularly represents clients before all West Virginia Courts of record, Maryland Courts of record, the United States District Courts and the Federal Court of Appeals. Mr. Washington has successfully tried cases to jury and bench verdicts in favor of his clients.
As a former football player for WVU, Mr. Washington has been involved in speaking to young college athletes about the importance of education and the balance between sports and studies.

manufacturer in a case involving an alleged vehicle fire
- Represented before the 4th Circuit the vice-president of a
national mail sorting company in an employment contract dispute
concerning a non-compete clause alleging negligence and breach
of contract
- Represented a national construction firm in a commercial suit
pertaining to the theft of construction equipment
- Represented a national marine transportation company in a
case involving a capsized barge
