After a three day trial in the Circuit Court of Fayette County,
Sam Fox obtained a defense verdict for a family physician who was accused of utilizing improper sterile technique during the performance of a steroid injection. The twenty-two year old patient developed a staph shoulder infection resulting in a joint replacement. The jury found that the physician provided appropriate care and treatment which was within the standard of care and that the treatment did not cause the infection.
