Government Relations

The Firm has worked diligently in representing client care interests at the Legislature and in the community. Members have drafted legislation for clients, testified at hearings and prepared educational documents. Recently, members of this group assisted in drafting significant health care tort reform and in lobbying for its passage. The Firm is pleased with the passage of West Virginia House Bill 2122 which significantly reformed the Medical Professional Liability Act and enhanced the ability of West Virginia's physicians to create a physicians' mutual insurance company.
